Charles
Handfield Wyatt, III
&
his wife Margaret "Peg" Jones
Charles was
the only son of Charles Handfield Wyatt, Jr. and Meta Hutton Wyatt.
Charles served in World War 2 and was in a Japanese Prison Camp in
the Philippines. He was tortured and received various awards and medals
for bravery for staging guerilla actions while the Philippines were under
Japanese occupation. Because of the torture he received he died in the
early 1950's from complications of this. Peg Jones Wyatt(daughter of
Samuel Jones and Helen McCormick Bliss Jones) remarried in the 1960's to
Edward Strubee retiring to the mountains of North Carolina (Cashiers, NC).
