JOHN
C. EVERSOLE (EBERSOL) born 1828, died 1865. A Major in the 14th
Kentucky Calvary for the Union. Killed by Morgan's raiders for being
a southern abolitionist opposed to Slavery. Family were
"conscience Whigs" but became Republicans because the
Whigs refused to repudiate Slavery. See

JOSEPH
C. EVERSOLE born 1852, died 1888. Mudered during the French-Eversole
War.
Delegate to the 1888 Republican National Convention in Chicago from
the 10th District of Kentucky. District Circuit Judge and Attorney. See
Eversole Family Bible (My great-great grandfather- also see 6c
below on page 109)

BELLE ("Pet") EVERSOLE born 1882, died 1967. Married Manon
Cornett. See
