The July 4th uptown Rioters

Who where they?

After the North Meck High riots I asked the police for the details on those individuals who were involved in what has become known as the "July 4th" uptown riots (or "melee").

The police sent back 10 names of which one was 15 and a juvenile whose record was not public. The other nine were adults (16 or older), all were Black, 3 were female, 6 were male.

Many of these individuals had multiple arrests listed.

The zip code of residence for the nine adults is:

Three lived in 28213 (urban inner-city)
Three lived in 28215 (urban inner-city)
One lived in 28216 (urban inner-city)
One lived in 28227 (East Charlotte)
One lived in 28273 (Off South Blvd)
