Rev. James Barnett ('Stop the Killing') calls for apology from Black leaders who supported Mackey

Rejects call for 'healing' until the apologies are received

 Those who are asked to apologize in this open letter are (transcribed with my own annotations next to each name):

  • Dwayne Collins (head of the Black Political Caucus)

  • George Dunlap (CMS School Board and part of a group said to have received a job offer from Mackey if Mackey was installed as  Sheriff)

  • Wilhelmenia Rembert (former CMS School Board Chair and former Vice Chair of the County Commission)

  • 'Tone X' (Black radio personality)

  • Rev. Dwayne Walker (Senior Minister of the Little Rock AME Zion Church in Charlotte who held the Mackey Rally)

  • Rev. George Cook

  • Rev. Al Sharpton (National Black leader who came to Charlotte to say the 'process' should be followed and then when it was followed disagreed with the outcome).

  • Staff and Management of 100.9 and/or WGIV (WGIV is a AM radio station that broadcast the shows of Dr. Rembert, Craig Madens and others who supposedly advocated for Mackey to be Sheriff).

  • Pastors that stood by and said nothing

  • Elected officials that stood by and said nothing

  • Community leaders that stood by and said nothing
